seat dominated by Nawab Malik
This seat is dominated by Nawab Malik. Nawab Malik won from this seat for the first time in 2009, but in 2014 he had to face defeat from Shiv Sena. He returned again in 2019. Now he had to go to jail due to money laundering charges. After coming out of jail, he joined Ajit group’s NCP. Ajit Pawar has given ticket to his daughter Sana Khan from Anishakti Nagar.
Fahad Ahmed was in SP
Anushakti Nagar seat came into limelight when Sharad Pawar expressed confidence in actress Swara Bhaskar’s husband Fahad Ahmed. Fahad was a member of Samajwadi Party, but Mahavikas Aghadi did not give ticket to SP in Maharashtra. In such a situation, he joined Sharad Pawar’s faction NCP.
