In the Carey State Ranking 2025, Chhattisgarh has done remarkable performance and improved its ranking to three places in the list of big states of the country. Compared to the year 2023, the overall score of the state has increased from 34.8 to 40.9 with an increase of 6.1 points. With this, Chhattisgarh has moved from 14th place to 11th in the group of 17 big states of the country. This performance is a proof of widespread improvement in governance, social indicators and economic strength.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that this is the result of united hard work and public service of ‘Team Chhattisgarh’. We have given priority to transparency in governance, speed of service, and citizens’ participation. Our emphasis in the social sector has been on education, health and poor welfare. Investment and employment are being encouraged in the economic sector. The Chief Minister further said that this report of CARAMAT is recognized as data of our work as data. We have adopted a policy of improvement in every field, whether it is economic empowerment, education or health services. This achievement is the result of everyone’s efforts and public cooperation. The state of Chhattisgarh is now moving rapidly in competition on the national platform. In the near future, our state will be included in the leading states of the country.
According to the report of CARAMA, Chhattisgarh has registered a significant 9.9 points on the economic performance criteria. While the state was ranked 12th in the year 2023, in 2025 it has come to 7th position. This is the result of the state’s attractive industrial policy, investment encouragement and financial management. Chhattisgarh has increased the efficiency of revenue collection by improving financial management. The state’s fiscal condition has become more strengthened due to increase in GST collection and transparency in budget management.
According to the report, Chhattisgarh has jumped 14.2 points in the field of governance, public service, law and order and reforms in digital governance were the main reasons. At the same time, an increase of 17.8 marks in the social sector is a proof that the state has made significant progress in the fields of literacy, education, health services and income.
The state of Chhattisgarh has also recorded an increase of about 10 points in the economic sector, which is an auspicious sign of increase in the state’s stable growth rate and expansion of industrial activities. The report also mentioned that the 2025 function was evaluated based on 50 indicators, while in 2023 the number was 46. Between 2023 and 2025, Chhattisgarh has made significant improvements in governance, social and economic areas.
