Bail of the accused who cheated 45 thousand rupees by messaging in the name of Police Commissioner rejected

Additional District and Sessions Judge of Bhopal Vijay Kumar Sharma rejected the bail application of Sunil Kumar Prajapati, a resident of Alwar Rajasthan, who cheated the complainant of 45 thousand rupees by messaging on Messenger from a fake Facebook account in the name of Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra and luring him to sell old furniture at a low price.

Additional District Public Prosecutor Manju Jain Singh had objected to the bail application of the accused. Complainant Mahesh Kumar Kodwani is a businessman, originally a resident of Jabalpur and currently living in Jahangirabad Bhopal. On 5 November 2024, the complainant had complained to the Crime Branch Bhopal that an unknown person on Facebook Messenger from a fake Facebook account in the name of the capital’s Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra cheated him of 45 thousand rupees by messaging on Messenger from a fake Facebook account in the name of the capital’s Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra and luring him to sell old furniture at a low price. On the complaint of the complainant, the Crime Branch had registered a case of fraud against unknown accused.
