Mumbai
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given the first response to the joke done by comedian Kunal Kamra. He has said that there is freedom to speak, but everything should have a limit. During a show held in Mumbai, Kamra had tightened the ‘Gaddar’ and ‘Thane Ka Rickshaw’ on the Shiv Sena chief without naming. It is reported that Kamra has been summoned by the Mumbai Police.
According to media reports, Shinde said, ‘There is freedom to speak here. We also understand satire, but there should be a limit. At the same time, many Shiv Sena leaders have already objected to Kamra’s joke and threatened.
He said, “It seems that betel nut has been taken to speak against someone.” He further said, “The other person should maintain a level, otherwise there is a reaction of action.” The deputy CM said, ‘This is the same person who has commented on the Supreme Court, Prime Minister and some industrialists of India. This is not the freedom to speak. It is working for someone else. ‘
What was the joke
During the show, Kamra said, ‘What she has done in the election of Maharashtra…. The Shiv Sena has to speak first came out of the BJP and then the Shiv Sena came out of the Shiv Sena…. NCP came out of NCP…. Gave 9 buttons to a voter. All were confused. He further said, ‘One of the people did it. He is a very good district in Mumbai, Thane comes from there.
He said, ‘Thane’s rickshaw, face beard, eyeglasses in the eyes. Thane rickshaw, beard on face, eyeglasses in the eyes. A glimpse of a glimpse is sometimes hidden in Guwahati. From my eyes, you see the traitor, he came. Not a minister, that party is a change and said what to go. In which the plate is eaten, he should pierce it. More than the ministry, Fadnavis should be found in the dock. The father has got the command of the arrow.
Kamra refused to apologize
Kamra has said that he will not apologize for his controversial comments about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shinde. Along with this, he criticized the vandalism at the place in Mumbai, where the ‘Comedy Show’ was recorded.
Kamra said in a statement shared on the social media platform ‘X’ late on Monday night that those who are busy leaking their number on social media or are constantly calling them, they should know that all unknown phone calls are going to their voicemail and they will hear the same song “the same song” he hates.
Kamra wrote, ‘I will not apologize… I am not afraid of this crowd and I will not wait for it to be calm by hiding under my bed.’ He said, ‘What I said is exactly the same as Ajit Pawar (Deputy Chief Minister) said about Eknath Shinde (Deputy Chief Minister).’
‘Comedian’ also spoke about his right to freedom of speech and expression, condemning “the leaders who threatened to teach him a lesson”.
He said, “Your inability to bear the joke on a powerful public person does not change the nature of my right. As far as I know, mocking the circus of our leaders and our political system is not against the law. However, I am ready to cooperate with the police and courts for any valid action against me. ”
Kamra said, “But whether the law will be implemented against those who have decided that it is a proper response to vandalize if he is hurt by the joke?”
Shiv Sainik rang
Shiv Sena activists allegedly vandalized the ‘Habitat Comedy Club’ in Khar area in Mumbai on Sunday, where Kamra’s program was shot. In this program, he sarcasted Shinde through the word “traitor”.
A large number of Shiv Sena workers gathered outside the ‘Hotel Unicontinental’ on Sunday night where the concerned club is located. He vandalized the club and hotel premises. ‘Habitat Club’ is the same place where the dispute ‘India’s Got Latant’ was shot.
