Mandla
The Health Department conducted the examination in three phases through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Delhi to test the knowledge of Asha workers and supervisors. This examination was attended by 271 Asha workers and supervisors selected from five development blocks of Mandla district. 266 candidates made attendance in the written examination of the final phase of the examination.
Examination conducted in three stages
Selected Asha workers and supervisors of Bamhni, Mohgaon, Narayanganj, Bichhiya and Nainpur development blocks participated in the examination conducted by the Health Department at Kendriya Vidyalaya Mandla. The examination was completed as a written examination of one and a half hours on the pattern set by the government.
Earlier, internal online examination was conducted in the first phase. In the second phase, practical examination related to field work was taken, in which the skills of Asha workers and supervisors were evaluated. After this, written examination was conducted in the third phase, in which 266 out of 271 participants participated. The examination was conducted under the supervision of the principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Initiative to increase the quality of health services
In Mandla district, Asha workers play an important role in health services ranging from baby to elderly. This examination was conducted with the aim of testing their knowledge and increasing the quality of services. Standards for examination were set by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). On being successful in this examination, ASHA workers will be awarded certificates and cash prizes of Rs 5000.
Miss school days
Many ASHA workers who came to appear in the examination said that after years, it was a unique experience for him to take the exam on the pattern of the board examination. All the candidates saw their room and roll numbers before the examination started. Strict security arrangements were made at the examination center, where other materials including mobile phones were kept out. Seeing this atmosphere, Asha workers remembered their school days.
Exam given with complete preparation
DCM Himanshu Singore said that the contribution of Asha workers in the field is important. The purpose of this examination is to increase their knowledge and improve the quality of service. Before appearing in the examination, Asha workers made complete preparations and were very excited about the examination. He excelled in the first two phases of examination and will now prove to be his ability after the result of the written examination.
