In Madhya Pradesh, 1656 people lost their lives in road accidents in the last month. At the same time, 202 people died in road accidents on MP border during Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gave this information in response to MLA Dinesh Rai Munmun’s question. Dr. Mohan Yadav said that 144 men, 50 women and 8 children were among those who died in road accidents. He said that a total of 1,656 people died in road accidents across the state, in which 152 people lost their lives due to not wearing helmets and 26 people lost their seat belts. The Chief Minister said that in the last one and a half months, a total of 552 road accidents occurred on the MP border, in which 944 people were injured. During this time, driving and driving was only one accident, but there was no death in it. According to the 2022 figure, Madhya Pradesh ranks second in the country in road accidents.
1,026 people died due to overspeeding
The Chief Minister said that the biggest reason for road accidents is fast speed. 1,026 people died due to surpassing, while 40 people died due to violation of traffic rules. In addition, 56 people died on black spots.
It is necessary to follow road safety rules
The Chief Minister said that it is mandatory to follow traffic rules to prevent road accidents. Awareness campaigns are also being run for this. Accidents can be prevented by using helmets and seat belts, following speed limits and compliance of traffic rules properly.
