The Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi has jerked former CM Arvind Kejriwal and ordered an FIR in the case of alleged public money misuse for hoarding. It is being told that an FIR will be registered against Kejriwa and others after Holi.
The Rousse Avenue Court has ordered an FIR to register an FIR on a petition demanding a lodging of FIRs against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others for allegedly misuse public funds by setting up large hoardings in Dwarka in 2019. The court in its order made it clear that a case of misuse of government money is made against Kejriwal and other party leaders.
Police instructions to file compliance report
The court while giving the verdict said that the petition is approved under 156 (3) CRPC. The court has directed the Dwarka South Police to file an FIR in this case and file the SHO to file a compliance report by 18 March.
What is the matter
In fact, in 2019, in the complaint filed before the court, it was alleged that Kejriwal, former AAP MLA Gulab Singh and Dwarka councilor Nitika Sharma have deliberately misused public funds by putting up large size hoardings at various places in the area.
After this, the Metropolitan Magistrate passed an order in September 2022 dismissing the complaint. The Sessions Judge then sent the case back to the magistrate court. In this case, the Special Judge had asked the magistrate court to hear the case afresh.
