Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan wrote a letter to the country’s army chief Asim Munir from jail, gave a big warning

Islamabad
Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan has written a letter to the country’s army chief Asim Munir from jail. Imran, who has been jailed for a long time, has said that he is misbehaved with him in his open letter. At the same time, he has demanded to stop it, calling it wrong in army politics. He said that the trust between the army and the public is decreasing in recent years, which can become a big threat. In such a situation, it is important that the army works within its constitutional boundaries. Imran Khan has written two letters a week. Khan also wrote an open letter on 3 February before 9 February.

Imran Khan has said in his letter that his concern is for the reputation of the armed forces, the dangerous consequences of the growing gap between the army and the public. Imran says that if a referendum is held on six points raised by him, 90 percent of the Pakistanis will support them. These points include election rigging, occupation of the judiciary through the 26th constitutional amendment, harassment of the public by making strict laws like PECA, political instability and action on Pakistan’s largest political party. Due to this, not only the political people are having trouble, but the gap between the people and the army is also increasing.

Bad behavior in jail with me: Imran
Imran Khan has also accused a military officer posted in Adiala Jail of harassment and violation of their rights. Khan says that this officer behaves poorly, ignoring the court orders. Imran says that he was kept in a jail barrack for 20 days, where sunlight did not reach. Not only this, the electricity of his cell was also cut for five days. Despite the court order, he was allowed to make only three phone calls in six months. Imran further alleged that ‘pocket judges’ are being appointed using the 26th amendment passed at the tip of the gun. Khan said that a judge faced health problems due to pressure to pronounce the verdict against him. Khan also emphasized that strict laws like PECA have been used to ban social media and internet. Internet disruption has damaged billions of dollars to the country’s IT industry.

People are not happy with the army: Khan
Imran Khan said that the actions issued against PTI are increasing the displeasure of the people towards the army. It is worrying that due to the policies and illegal actions of the establishment, the public’s resentment towards the army is constantly increasing. This is a violation of the oath of the army. No national army treats its citizens like this. Khan said that it is mandatory to bridge the increasing gap between the army and the public for the stability and security of Pakistan. The only way to achieve this is that the army returns to its constitutional borders. The army separates from politics and fulfills its prescribed responsibilities. This is a step that the army should take by itself, otherwise this growing gap will become a dangerous fault line in terms of national security.
