Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Friday attended the review meeting of the implementation of three new criminal laws in Madhya Pradesh at the office of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah in New Delhi. In the meeting, the implementation and current status of provisions related to police, jail, court, prosecution and forensics were reviewed.

Union Minister Shri Shah provided necessary instructions regarding the implementation of three new criminal laws in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to implement the e-summons system. Union Minister Shri Shah praised the state for this new arrangement and advised other states to follow it.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that training programs are being organized on a large scale for effective implementation of three new criminal laws in the state. The target is to complete the recruitment and training of forensic science experts in the police force in a phased manner in the next two years.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the new legal provisions in the state, cases are being resolved quickly on the basis of electronic evidence with the use of modern resources. Through this, the justice process has become easier, police time is being saved and inconvenience to doctors has been reduced. On one hand, the inconvenience of the police force in transporting prisoners to and from jail is reducing, while on the other hand, the public is getting justice in less time. Union Home Minister Shri Shah was told that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will review the progress of implementation of new laws every month and the Chief Secretary every 15 days.

Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain and Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana along with senior officials of the State and Union Home Ministry were present in the meeting.
