Smugglers are adopting new methods to smuggle ganja. A case of ganja smuggling has come to light by putting the name plate of BJP District General Secretary in the car. In which the police have arrested five members of the inter-state gang. Ganja worth more than Rs 7 lakh has been seized from their possession.
According to the information, five members of the inter-state gang were bringing ganja from Orissa in two cars. The name plate of BJP District General Secretary was installed in a vehicle used in smuggling to escape from the police. Taking action on the information of informer, ANTF set up a blockade in the forest of Khodri Jobatola. During this, all the accused were caught along with drugs and vehicles. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they were from Anuppur. It was being smuggled through smugglers of Anuppur district. The main source of smuggling is a businessman from Orissa, whose name has come up in the investigation.
Superintendent of Police Bhavana Gupta said that this success is the result of the cautious efforts of our team and the cooperation of the public. Smugglers from Anuppur district have been identified and arrested. This campaign against drug trafficking will continue in future also.
