Navjot Singh Sidhu shared a video on social media on Thursday praising Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli and giving them suggestions. The former cricketer believes that both are great players and will shine again soon. Navjot believes that there is no need to tell much about the players who have done so much for India. Navjot has advised Rohit to focus on his fitness.
Navjot Singh Sidhu said in the conversation, “The one (Virat) who has scored 80 centuries and is close to scoring 10,000 runs, no one needs to tell him anything. He will go home, watch his videos and realize that his bat is playing away from his body. He will find a solution. Same is the case with Rohit.” The former cricketer said, “Comparison of Rohit Sharma and Virat in terms of technique is useless. He just has to work on the fitness of his body. He is a fantastic player. That is gold. How many times did I meet Rohit Sharma? Maybe 20 minutes on the field during the IPL. Today he did not play well against Australia. But in the T20 World Cup, it was Rohit Sharma who hit three sixes in Mitchell Starc’s over. Have they all forgotten? He is also human. The more he practices, the better he will get.”
Rohit Sharma has been able to score only 164 runs in the last 15 innings. Along with the bat, his captaincy is also under question. A 0-3 defeat against New Zealand and then a 1-3 defeat against Australia increased their troubles. Whereas Virat Kohli had scored a century in the first Test played in Perth but could score only 85 runs in the next four Tests. The bowlers took full advantage of his weakness outside the off stump.
