Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said this while addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying program of development works worth Rs 141 crore organized in village Jugera of Balod district on Wednesday.

CM Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is that no Indian will sleep under the open sky. Every citizen will have a permanent house. More than 31 thousand families have benefited in Balod district under the scheme of construction of houses with concrete roof under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. More than half of these houses have been built. The remainder is being constructed. He congratulated and extended best wishes to the beneficiaries who entered the new residence.
Chief Minister Sai inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of various development works worth Rs 141 crore in a program organized at village Jugera in Balod district. On this occasion, he also announced construction of 400 seater auditorium at Balod and construction of dome set at Banjari Mata Temple at Jugera to expand the facilities for visitors. The Chief Minister said that soon Nalanda complex will be constructed in Balod, its approval has also been received. He praised Veena Sahu, a resident of Jamruwa village of Balod, who is serving as a Lieutenant Nursing Officer in the Indian Army, and wished her a bright future.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that there are a large number of tendupatta beneficiaries in Balod district, in their interest we increased the rate of purchase of tendupatta by an additional Rs 1500 per standard bag and ensured purchase at the rate of Rs 5500 per standard bag. We have performed Bhoomi Pujan for lining repair and reconstruction of the canals of Matiyamoti reservoir of Daundilohara development block. Through this canal, which will be built at a cost of about Rs 30 crore, farmers will be able to get sufficient water for irrigation.
The Chief Minister said that about 1.5 lakh farmers of Balod district have benefited from the Krishak Unnati Yojana. The amount of paddy sold in the Kharif season of 2023-24 worth Rs 686 crore has been transferred to their account, which has brought prosperity to the farmers. Farmers have become happy. We believe that when our food providers are happy, everyone’s life will be happy. Last year, we have also given the outstanding bonus amount of Rs 223 crore in the accounts of more than 1.5 lakh farmers in Balod district.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that there will be no shortage of money for development works in Vishnudev Sai’s government with Modi’s guarantee. MP Bhojraj Nag also addressed the program. A large number of distinguished citizens were present on this occasion.
