Governor appeals to perform tasks with constitutional morality

The Governor participated in the mass reading program of the Preamble of the Constitution.

On the occasion of completion of 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution, Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has appealed to the people of the state to solemnly reiterate their commitment towards following constitutional ethics in all their work on Constitution Day. Resolve that citizens, through their conduct and behaviour, will actively contribute to increasing public awareness to fulfill the rights derived from the Constitution and the duties assigned to them.

Governor Shri Patel was addressing the politicians, officials and citizens as the chief guest of the mass reading program of the Preamble of the Constitution organized by the state government at Hans Dhwani Auditorium, Rabindra Bhawan. Governor Shri Patel conducted a collective reading of the Preamble of the Constitution to the people participating in the program. On this occasion, the documentary film Glory of Constitution produced by the Government of India and a short film prepared by the Parliamentary Affairs Department of the state were screened.

Governor Shri Patel said that the Constitution is an inspiring living document for us Indians and a modern scripture of independent India, which is a guide for all of us. The Constitution has been adopted by every citizen of the country, therefore, we the people of India are the real guardians of the Constitution. He said that the Constitution is not the guardian of any one but of all. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all of us to preserve and promote it. While on one hand the Constitution empowers the citizens, on the other hand the citizens also support and protect the Constitution through their conduct and behavior. Therefore, it is important that every citizen of the country understands the objectives and importance of the Constitution with a dedicated spirit and shows his respect for the Constitution by following it properly. It is necessary for every section of the country, every community and every citizen to be alert and active to comply with their rights and duties.

Governor Shri Patel said that the day of completion of 75 years of the Constitution is an occasion and celebration of pride and understanding of universal values ​​for all of us Indians. This important event is being celebrated in the form of “Our Constitution-Our Self-Respect” campaign. It is important that the future generations be made aware of the long struggle and sacrifices made by the Constitution makers to build an independent, democratic and self-reliant nation. Constitution Day should not be celebrated only as a celebration of governance and political parties, but as a celebration of gratitude for the contributions of the nation builders. It is the responsibility of all of us to contribute our best in building a strong and inclusive society as per the Constitution, without discriminating on the basis of caste, religion, gender, language etc.

On the auspicious occasion of Constitution Day, Governor Shri Patel remembered the virtues of the architect of the Indian Constitution, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and all the great personalities of the Constituent Assembly. Paying tribute to him, he said that his amazing vision and efforts have given us a Constitution which provides equality, freedom and justice to all citizens. For this we are all grateful to him. He heartily congratulated all the people of the state on Constitution Day.

Constitution is a reflection of the soul of our country: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Deora

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, the special guest of the program, said that our Constitution is not a collection of laws but is a reflection of the soul of our country. Giving information about the “Our Constitution – Our Self-Respect” campaign, he said that apart from giving us the right to live a free life, the Constitution has also given us the limits of freedom. Shri Deora said that we all are fortunate that we have a Constitution which provides equality, freedom and justice to all. He bowed at the feet of Dr. Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution, and said that it is the responsibility of all of us to introduce the future generation to the values ​​of the Constitution.

26th November is the golden day of adopting the Constitution: Chief Secretary Shri Jain

Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain said that 26th November is the golden day of adoption of the Constitution in Indian history. He said that the Constitution prepared by the hard work of our Constitution makers for almost 3 years is a strong living document reflecting the sentiments of the times. It is the basis of our democratic system. Remembering the members of the Constituent Assembly and Baba Saheb Ambedkar, he bowed to them.

The guests including Governor Shri Patel started the program by lighting the lamp. The guests were welcomed by presenting them with flower bunches. On this occasion, Minister of State with Independent Charge of Backward Class, Minority, Demukt, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Welfare Department, Mrs. Krishna Gaur, MLA Mr. Rameshwar Sharma, Mr. Bhagwan Das Sabnani and Additional Chief Secretary General Administration Mr. K.C. Gupta was on the stage.

CS had told the importance of Indian Constitution in foreign countries. CS Anurag Jain said – I personally believe that we have a living democracy, one of the main pillars of which is the Constitution. I was selected in an International Leaders Program in which only 25 people from each country came. And the representative of every country had to tell what is the biggest strength of your country. I talked about our Constitution there and said that if the democracy of our country is so strong then its main basis is our Constitution.

Indian Constitution is flexible, 100 amendments have been made so far. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain said – This Constitution is flexible in which more than 100 amendments have been made. The result of which is that our Constitution is keeping pace with the changing times and running the governance system of the country smoothly. If we see, the three-tier system was brought into existence with amendments in 73 and 74. Due to which the public participation of the people is being reflected. The film Glory of the Constitution will also be shown in today’s programme. It will be shown in every district of the entire state. A film has been made in our Parliamentary Affairs Department in which all the people of our state who have contributed to the Constituent Assembly will also be shown in this film.

Padyatra on completion of 75 years of Constitution

To commemorate the completion of 75 years of the Constitution, “Constitution Day Padyatra” will be taken out from Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal in the evening. About 3000 youth will participate in this event. Organizations like Education Department, National Service Scheme and Nehru Yuva Kendra will participate in this padyatra organized under the aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department.

On the occasion of Constitution Day, a march is being organized in the capitals of all the states and union territories of the country. The program is divided into four phases:

First Stage – Online Quiz on Developed India.
Second phase – Essay and blog writing.
Phase III – State level presentations of the Developed India Vision Pitch Deck.
Fourth Stage – National Championship at Bharat Mandapam.

The detailed planned activities and programs of the Youth Utsav will be uploaded on “My Bharat” portal. Besides, it will also be mandatory to register the participants on the portal.

The winner of Young Leader Dialogue will get a chance to interact with PM Modi

A state level competition will be organized in the state under “Developed India Young Leader Dialogue”. The youth selected in this program will get the opportunity to directly communicate with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under the Youth Mahotsav 2025, events will be organized at the district and state level with the aim of giving a platform to the talent of the youth.

Prime Minister Modi’s dream is that India should be leading among the developed nations of the world by 2047. In this direction, programs like “Constitution Day”, “Developed India Young Leader Dialogue” and “Youth Festival” can prove to be milestones to inspire the youth.

The festival will last throughout the year

As per the instructions of the Government of India, in view of the importance of completion of 75 years of the implementation of the Constitution, the year-long festival will be organized under the campaign “Our Constitution – Our Self-Respect”.

Programs will be organized in urban and rural areas to commemorate “Constitution Day”. Programs will be held today in all government offices, schools, colleges, institutions, autonomous institutions and public undertakings of the state.

There will also be a collective reading of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution on Constitution Day. In this, instructions have been given to ensure participation of common citizens with government officers and employees. Photographs (selfies or other photographs) of the participating group readings can be uploaded on the portal.

After uploading the photo, a certificate will be generated on the website, which can be downloaded and shared on social media.
