The Council of Ministers took an important decision today to ensure availability of new and improved varieties of seeds to the farmers of Chhattisgarh at reasonable prices. Under this, seeds can be purchased directly as per requirement from the Central Nodal Seed Agency empaneled in various schemes by the Government of India. For this, it was decided to give exemption to Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agricultural Development Corporation in Rule 4 of Chhattisgarh State Store Purchase Rules 2002.
