Rishabh Pant has now become the highest priced player in the history of Indian Premier League i.e. IPL.

Rishabh Pant has now become the highest priced player in the history of Indian Premier League i.e. IPL. Shreyas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore, but Rishabh Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 27 crore. Forget the auction, he somehow became the most expensive player of IPL. In this way, Shreyas Iyer’s record of becoming the most expensive player of IPL was broken within a few minutes. He will now be known as the second most expensive player of IPL.

Delhi Capitals did not retain Rishabh Pant. In such a situation he came to the auction. However, due to RTM i.e. Right to Match card, Delhi had a chance to buy Pant, but they could not match the bid of Rs 27 crore. Bidding was up to Rs 20.75 crore between Lucknow and Hyderabad. Lucknow made the last bid. After this, when DC was asked about RTM, he replied yes. In such a situation, when Lucknow was asked what would be their final bid, they said Rs 27 crore. Delhi could not match it and Lucknow got Pant for Rs 27 crores.

Talking about Rishabh Pant’s IPL career, he has played 111 IPL matches and he has played all these matches for Delhi Capitals. He has been playing IPL since 2016. He has scored 3284 runs in 110 innings. He has scored one century and 18 half-centuries in IPL. Pant’s average in IPL is 35.31, while his strike rate is 148.93. He has hit 296 fours and 154 sixes for Delhi Capitals in IPL, but now he will be seen with Lucknow. Pant has been the captain of Delhi for two seasons, but no significant impact was visible under his captaincy.
