The capital’s police is going to make another innovation to prevent cyber fraud and help its victims. Now cyber help desk will be created in every police station of the capital. Cyber ​​help desk will start operating in all police stations from December 1. Complaints of cyber fraud up to Rs 5 lakh can be lodged here.

Also, due to early complaint, the cyber police will take immediate action and hold the defrauded amount of the victims, which will significantly increase the chances of getting a refund. Ten police personnel from every police station of the city are being trained to deal with this challenge of cyber crime in the cyber desks of the police stations. A six-day training program has been started in the police control room from Thursday. Under this, policemen are being given information about the intricacies related to cyber crimes.

Cyber ​​expert officers are giving training
DCP Crime Akhil Patel said that operating a cyber desk requires technical knowledge. At present, 20 cyber expert police officers of the state are being trained in a six-day training program. In which police personnel are being trained about uploading data on the national portal NCCRP, JMIS and CEIR. Besides, they are also providing training in telecom companies and other technologies. Such training programs will continue continuously.

Only state cyber police will handle big cases
To prevent cyber crime and ensure prompt action, this initiative is being taken that now complaints of online fraud up to Rs 5 lakh can be lodged in police stations. However, cyber fraud of more than Rs 5 lakh will be investigated only by the State Cyber ​​Police. This means that the victims of big cyber fraud will have to lodge a complaint in the office of State Cyber ​​Police located at Bhadbhada only.
