The five-match Test series between India and Australia has started. The bowlers have dominated on the first day. On the basis of excellent performance by Josh Hazlewood and other bowlers, Australia has bundled out the Indian innings at the score of 150 in the first Test match at the Optus Stadium. Indian batsmen disappointed once again. Nitish Reddy and Rishabh Pant scored the most runs for India. During the Indian innings, Australian players Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Marsh were seen pulling the leg of Indian batsman Rishabh Pant.
During the Indian innings, Australia’s star cricketer Nathan Lyon tried to distract Rishabh Pant. He was seen talking to him about the upcoming IPL mega auction. This mega auction will take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, which will be during the third and fourth day of the Test match between India and Australia. Nathan Lyon asked Rishabh Pant which team he is going to after the IPL auction. Pant smilingly said that he did not know. Australian players know that if Pant stays at the crease for too long, he can prove dangerous. Therefore, along with Nathan, Mitchell was also seen talking.
Rishabh Pant has been released by Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. The franchise added Axar Patel (16.5 crore), Kuldeep Yadav (13.5 crore), Tristan Stubbs (10 crore) and Abhishek Porel to the team for 4 crore. Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel, playing cautiously, had just added 12 runs to the score when Mitchell Marsh gave the fifth blow to India by getting Dhruv Jurel (10) caught out by Marson Labuschagne. After this, in the 32nd over, Washington Sundar (four) was also made his victim by Mitchell Marsh. At one time India had lost six wickets for 73 runs.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, who came to bat in such a crisis, tried to handle the innings along with Rishabh Pant. There was a partnership of 48 runs between the two batsmen for the seventh wicket. Pat Cummins broke this partnership by dismissing Rishabh Pant (37) in the 46th over. After this, Harshit Rana (seven) and captain Jasprit Bumrah (eight) were made victims by Josh Hazlewood. India’s tenth wicket fell in the form of Nitish Kumar Reddy, he scored the maximum runs (41) for the team. The entire Indian team was reduced to a score of 150 in 49.4 overs.
