After loading the bars, truck driver Vikas Singh was sent to Haryana in truck number CG 04 PP 5256, but when the goods did not reach the destination till 6 November, the complainant tried to contact the truck driver and transporter, but could not be contacted. . On this, a case of theft of 35.1 tonnes of rebar was registered in Kapitpathra police station under section 316 (3) BNS.
The SP instructed Inspector Rakesh Mishra’s team to take action and the police team led by ASI Jairam Sidar was sent to Shahdol. On November 8, the police team detained truck driver Vikas Singh, who during interrogation told that he had unloaded 15 tons of rebar in the warehouse of businessman Deendayal Gupta alias Batu in Beohari of Shahdol district.
