Faridkot Police of Punjab has arrested the accused who murdered Jaswant Singh Gill in Dabra. This information has been given by the DGP of Punjab Police in a post made on X portal.
Faridkot Police of Punjab has caught the shooters who shot Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill in Dabra on 7 November. The accused were involved in the murder of Gurupreet Singh Harinau of Faridcourt. Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav has given this on internet media platform X.
The relatives of deceased Jaswant Singh Gill had also talked about killing him by giving betel nut. The accused have murdered Jaswant Singh Gill on the instructions of gangster Arshdeep Dalla living in Canada. Jaswant Singh Gill of Dabra, who was serving a sentence in a murder case, was shot dead by two shooters on November 7. Jaswant Singh had come from jail on parole.
DGP of Punjab Police gave information
The police was searching for the accused after the murder. However, the relatives had talked about getting the murder done by giving betel nut. But the accused could not be traced. But on Sunday, Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav gave information about the arrest of the accused through a post on internet media platform X.
According to him, the accused have been caught from near Kharada. The accused first committed murder in Faridkot and then in Dabra. After the crime, both the suspects returned to Punjab, where they were caught near Kharar. He said his arrest had averted another possible murder in the state.
Two modern weapons recovered from the miscreants
Two sophisticated weapons have also been recovered from the miscreants. On November 8, in a major blow to the illegal arms smuggling network, Counter Intelligence (CI) Amritsar personnel arrested two henchmen of Portugal-based gangster Manpreet Singh alias Mannu Ghanshampuria, leading to the arrest of US-based key criminals Balwinder Singh and Prabhdeep Singh. His relations with were revealed.
Jaswant’s father-in-law said, it was his brother-in-law who gave him the betel nut.
There is mourning in Jaswant’s house after his murder. Two policemen are deployed outside the house. Relatives are arriving to console. Father-in-law Jagtar Singh told- Jaswant used to work as a compounder in jail. He was a good man but due to old enmity, his maternal uncle and father-in-law got him murdered.
Jagtar said, ‘Jaswant had shot dead my brother-in-law Rajwinder’s son Sukhwinder 8 years ago. Bullets were also fired at Rajwinder and his wife Balwinder but both survived. After this incident, Jaswant remained absconding for 9 months. He surrendered in December 2016.
