Villagers suffering from Naxal violence in Kanker, Narayanpur and Sukma districts of Bastar region at Raj Bhavan today and apprised Governor of Governor Ramen Deka and apprised them of their problems. Deka spoke of giving all possible help to the Naxalite affected.
Governor Deka spoke to all the victims. The government asked to use the amount provided by the government to the villagers affected by Naxal violence. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on the special initiative of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the central government is taking continuous action to eliminate Naxalism in Bastar region and a target has been set to free the region by 2026. He informed that continuous work is being done for providing basic facilities in Naxal -affected areas and development of these areas. Mobile towers are being installed in remote areas, so that the mobile network can be connected in these areas. He said that there is immense potential for development and tourism in Bastar region, rich in natural wealth.
Governor Deka said that priority is being done on priority to make those who have been affected by Naxal violence. He instructed to treat Rahul Sodhi, a resident of village Chinta Cave in Sukma district, who was disabled by Naxal violence.
On this occasion, Dr. CR, Secretary to the Governor Prasanna, Home Minister’s OSD Amar Sidar and the victim villagers were also present.
