Preparations to run 100 electric buses in place of CNG low lore buses soon from the roads of Bhopal

There is a preparation to run 100 electric buses in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal City Link Limited and Manit experts are preparing public transport models in Bhopal on the lines of Hyderabad. Recently, some buses were tried by bringing from Hyderabad.

200 buses among 24 lakh population
There are currently 200 low lore buses operating in Bhopal city with a population of about 24 lakhs. Apart from these, some buses operate local operators, these buses travel 3 times more than capacity. This problem may increase in limited numbers of electric buses.

Arera Hills, Raj Bhavan and New Market
Manit experts are also ensuring that there is no problem in operating overloaded buses in the hilly areas of Bhopal. Especially, electric buses should not be disturbed to come on a climbing route like Arera Hills, Raj Bhavan and New Market.

Manit’s team will select the loaded vehicle to a mountainous route after filling the full number of passengers in electric buses according to the mountainous areas of the city. Electric buses performed better in the ghat area like Arera Hills, Raj Bhawan, New Market. Bhopal City Link Limited is now trying to ensure that there should be no inconvenience in the operation of these buses while taking double passengers.

Therefore testing is necessary
Bhopal city is a city with a population of 24 lakhs. In comparison, Bhopal City Link Limited is the only institution that provides cheap public transport system. Different BCLL contractors operate 200 low lore buses in the city, which travel three times more than capacity. The same fate can happen even after running a limited number of electric buses.

Manoj Rathore, director of BCLL, who is responsible for operating low-floor buses in Bhopal, preparations are being made for the operation of e-Basis. Subject experts are also being consulted for this.

EV Hub will become Indore-Bhopal
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced to develop Bhopal and Indore as EV (electric vehicle) hubs. Emphasis is being laid on the operation of e-rickshaws and e-batter in these cities. Common citizens are also being encouraged to buy e-car and e-bikes. Efforts are on to provide other facilities including charging stations for them.
