Police have registered a case against Parasia Municipal President Vinod Malaviya under various sections of the Indian Justice and IT Act in the case of objectionable audio going viral on social media.

The case has been registered on the complaint of BJP leader and councilor Anuj Patkar. Patkar alleged that the audio clip of a private conversation between the women of his family went viral on social media, making an attempt to harm him and his family’s image. He alleges that the clip was viral by NAPA President Vinod Malaviya.

Following the complaint, the police started investigating the case and a case was registered against Vinod Malaviya on Friday. Confirming this, Parasia DSP Jitendra Jat said that the matter has been registered under the Code of India Code and IT Act and further action is being taken as per rules.

On the other hand, NAP President Vinod Malaviya has said that he is not aware of any case in this regard and he does not want to comment on it until he gets any official information. Significantly, this is not the first time that Vinod Malaviya is surrounded by controversies about social media posts. A similar case was registered against him in the year 2021, in which he has also been in judicial custody.
