Former Bangladesh cricket team captain Tamim Iqbal has been admitted to the hospital. Tamim complained of pain in the scene during fielding in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) 2025 match. This incident happened on Monday 24 March during the match between Mohammadan Sporting Club Shinpukur Cricket Club. Sources said that the condition of this left -handed batsman is critical. After this, the medical team reached for his treatment and a helicopter was also called to take him to Dhaka. However, Tamim’s condition was critical and he was not in a position to climb in the helicopter. In such a situation, he was taken to the local Fazil Tunnes Hospital instead of Dhaka. Fazil Tunnes Hospital is located in Savar city, which comes under Dhaka Division.

Tariqul Islam, an officer of Mohammadan Sports Club, told India Today, “Tamim is currently hospitalized and his condition is not so good that he can be taken to Dhaka by plane.” In the current season of Dhaka Premier League, Tamim is running in great form and he is the fourth highest run -scorer in this season. The left-arm batsman has scored 368 runs in seven matches with an average of 73.60 and a strike-rate of 102.50, including two centuries.
