Chhattisgarh will also get energy from thermal and nuclear power

Raipur

Chhattisgarh is now moving rapidly towards energy revolution. Today, in the ‘Chhattisgarh Energy Investors Summit’ held in Raipur, many big companies have announced an investment of more than 3 lakh crores. This investment will introduce new power generation projects in areas such as nuclear, thermal, solar and pumped storage in the state. This will not only benefit industries, but the common people will also get cheap and constant electricity.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai says that this investment in the field of energy in Chhattisgarh will take the state’s power generation capacity to new heights and pave the way for the green future by promoting renewable energy. Our goal is that Chhattisgarh should not only become self -sufficient in energy, but should be established as an energy hub for the whole country.

Chhattisgarh is already producing 30,000 MW of electricity, which is higher than the country’s average. Now every person is getting 2048 kW-hour electricity, due to which the energy needs of the state are being met.

In the field of nuclear power, NTPC has planned to set up a 4200 MW capacity nuclear power project at a cost of Rs 80,000 crore. This will introduce power generation from nuclear power in Chhattisgarh.

Large investment has also been announced in the thermal power sector. Adani Power will spend three thermal power plants of 1600-1600 MW in Korba, Raigad and Raipur, spending Rs 66,720 crore. Jindal Power will invest Rs 12,800 crore for 1600 MW of power generation in Raigad, while Sarda Energy will invest Rs 5,300 crore for a 660 MW capacity plant in Raigad. Apart from this, government companies NTPC and CSPGCL will produce 4500 MW of electricity at a cost of Rs 41,120 crore.

Chhattisgarh has also got great success in the field of solar energy. Jindal Power and NTPC Green will jointly produce 2500 MW solar electricity by spending Rs 10,000 crore. It will include 500 MW in Dolesra and 2000 MW solar plants in Raigad.

There is also good news for farmers. Under the PM Kusum scheme, 675 MW solar power will be produced and 20,000 solar pumps will be installed at a cost of Rs 4100 crore. This will give farmers cheap electricity for irrigation and will reduce the need for diesel pumps.

Apart from this, 8700 MW capacity pumped storage projects will also be started at a cost of Rs 57,046 crore. This includes projects of 1800 MW in SJN Kotpali and 3000 MW by Jindal Renewable.

Through all these investments, Chhattisgarh will soon join the country’s largest energy producing states. This will benefit industries, farmers and common people and the state’s economy will also be strengthened.
