The number of Indian students who move to France for studies will reach a record 10,000 level this year. This has been hoped in a joint statement issued by the two countries here after the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron. According to the statement, “Modi and Macron called for promoting trade and investment relations between the two countries. He also committed to deepen his participation in Hind-Pacific and various global forums and initiatives. ” According to the statement, the two leaders welcomed the successful start of the International Class Plan last year. Under this scheme, Indian students are taught French in French universities, before admission in their chosen curriculum in France and taught about local functioning.

The statement said, “This will create favorable conditions to increase Indian students’ influx in France and to achieve their number to 30,000 by 2030. The two leaders welcomed the increasing number of Indian students in France, which is expected to reach a high level of 10,000 by 2025. ” According to the statement, Modi and Macron also welcomed the operation of the Youth Profession Scheme (YPS) under the India-France migration and mobility partnership agreement (MMPA). It states that the scheme will provide two-way movement facilities for young professionals, which will further strengthen the friendship relationship between the people of India and France.

According to the statement, Modi and Macron insisted on completing the MoU (MoU) as soon as possible to promote cooperation in the field of skill development, vocational education and training. It states that Modi and Macron released India-France Roadmap on Artificial Medha (AI), which is based on the approach of both countries to focus on the development of safe, open, protected and trusted AI.
