A unique bus is running on the streets of Mumbai which is equipped with high-tech mobile bathrooms. The Maharashtra government and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) have started this initiative to make the lives of many women easier. This unique bus is facing free bathing facilities, and the interesting thing is that it has been launched only one month, but the number of women using it is constantly increasing.
What is the specialty of this mobile bathroom bus?
This is not a common bus, but a moving luxury bathroom. The bus has five mobile phone charging points, two clothes dryer dryers and a fully equipped bath room. Each bathroom features handwash, body wash, bucket, tap, shampoo, shower, geysers and even tubs. Not only this, a special system has been installed in it to save water, so that the entire bus water gets flushed in just 10 minutes. It has not only become a symbol of cleanliness and convenience, but has also become a source of employment for two women.
Who is behind this initiative?
According to the report of India Today, this innovative idea was introduced by Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha of Maharashtra and was implemented by the District Planning Committee and BMC. The bus is operating this bus, running an organization called ‘B Di Change’. Due to his hard work and dedication, this initiative has been so successful.
Such buses will also come to more places in Mumbai
The bus is currently present for women living in Kandivali area of Mumbai. Local women are very happy with this unique initiative and are motivating more and more women to use it. In view of this success, now BMC is preparing to bring this scheme to other areas of the city as well. It has also been mentioned in the BMC budget, it is clear that in the coming time, more such moving luxury bathroom buses will be seen on the streets for women in Mumbai.
