Telangana government increased beer prices by 15 percent

The Telangana government has allowed Telangana Beverages Corporation Limited to increase beer prices by 15 percent. UBL said in a regulatory notice that the decision was taken from the year 2019-20 due to heavy losses in the state due to non-revision of the company’s beer prices.

The decision has come after the request of the Brucers Association of India (BAI) and after stopping the supply by United Bruise Limited. On January 8, the United Bruriies Limited (UBL) announced that it has decided to suspend his beer supply to Telangana Beverages Corporation with immediate effect. Additionally, UBL claimed that TGBCL is quite outstanding for the previous beer supply on TGBCL. However, no particular details were revealed about this. However, the United Bruis later resumed the supply.

Welcoming the state government’s decision, BAI urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to solve the pending issues within the beer industry. The BAI said in the statement, “However, the increase is being allowed is less than the increase in the cost of production or the expectation of the industry, but we welcome it because it indicates that the government indicates that the government on business profitability in the state The industry is aware of the concerns and has lived up to its promise to consider it. ‘ BAI Director General Vinod Giri said that the market operated system is the most efficient way of benefiting everyone and we will continue to negotiate with the government to advocate this approach.
