Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed happiness over the construction of the temple of Lord Murugan in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. On the occasion of the Maha Kumbhbhishekam of the temple, he spoke of strengthening the relations between the two countries. He said that a new chapter is being added today in the centuries -old heritage of India and Indonesia.
On this occasion, PM Modi congratulated the people of Indonesia and those who followed Lord Murugan and released a video message on the social media platform ‘X’. He said, “I am fortunate to be a part of a program like Maha Kumbhabhishekam in Murugan temple of Jakarta. The presence of Indonesia President Prabovo Subianto has made the program more special for me. Even though I am physically hundreds of kilometers from Jakarta. But my mind is as close to this event as the mutual relationship between India and Indonesia. Just a few days ago, Indonesia President Prabovo returned with the love of 140 million Indians. ”
PM Modi congratulated everyone on the Maha Kumbhbhishekam of the Jakarta temple and said, “Mutual relations for the people of India and Indonesia are not just geopoliticals. Both countries are associated with thousands of years old culture and history. Our relationship is of heritage, science and faith. Our relationship is of common faith and spirituality. We also belong to Lord Murugan and Lord Rama. When a person from India to Indonesia folds his hands in the Prambanan temple, he has a spiritual feeling like Kashi and Kedar. Ramlila of Indonesia is also staged in India. ”
He said, “Today, when people of India sit in Garuda Indonesia for air travel, they also have a vision of our common culture in it. Our relationship is associated with many strong wires. When President Prabovo came to India, we did many things related to the common heritage of both countries. Today, through this new temple of Lord Murugan in Jakarta, a new golden chapter is being added to our centuries -old heritage. This temple will be the center of not only faith but also of cultural values. ”
