Rajnath Singh said- Mission to empower youth for the goal of ‘Developed India’ by 2047

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said the youth are the future heroes of India and they will play a major role in making the country a ‘developed India’ by 2047. Rajnath Singh said this on the occasion of honoring the Super-100 winners of Veer Gatha 4.0. Veer Gatha 4.0 was organized by the students to pay tribute to the gallantry award winners and freedom fighters. Super-100 are among the 10,000 special guests who will witness the Republic Day Parade on the duty path on Sunday. Out of these 100 winners, 66 are girls.

Describing the sense of national pride as the most important aspect for the development of any country, the Defense Minister said, “We have a large population of about 50 crore youth. How can a country with such a creative mind not become developed?” He said, “India’s stature on the global stage has increased due to the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today when we speak on an international platform, the whole world listens. “This has been possible because of the hard work of every Indian, including our brave soldiers, scientists and alert youth.”

Rajnath Singh appealed to the students to keep taking inspiration from the brave and courageous soldiers like freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, whose bravery and sacrifice can never be forgotten. On this special occasion, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that initiatives like Veer Gatha tell school students about the courage and sacrifice of gallantry award winners. It also promotes creativity of young minds.

Veer Gatha is a competition in which 1.76 crore students from more than 2.5 lakh schools participate in activities like drawing, painting and essay writing. We also pay heartfelt tribute to the heroes of India’s freedom struggle for their service and sacrifice for the country. It aims to connect the youth with the glorious history of the country’s heroes and inculcate the values ​​of patriotism, patience and national pride, thereby motivating the students to contribute to the progress of the country.

During the program, Param Vir Chakra winner Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar shared his inspiring experiences from the 1999 Kargil War, and appealed to the students to adopt the values ​​of bravery, selflessness and integrity in their lives. “True bravery lies not only in war but also in standing up for what is right in everyday life,” he inspired the young participants.
