With the return of the great players of Team India to domestic cricket, the light of Ranji Trophy has returned. In the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 match, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s Saurashtra team defeated Rishabh Pant’s Delhi team by 10 wickets in just 3.1 overs i.e. 19 balls. The hero of the match was Ravindra Jadeja himself, who took 5 wickets in the first innings and 7 wickets including that of Rishabh Pant in the second innings. In this way he defeated Delhi by taking 12 wickets. This is really shameful for Delhi.
In the match against Saurashtra, Delhi batted first and scored 188 runs in the first innings, losing all the wickets in 49.4 overs. Captain Ayush Badoni played the highest innings of 60 runs for the team, while the Indian team’s favorite wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who played Ranji Trophy after a long time, was out after scoring one run on the ball of Dharmendra Singh Jadeja. Ravindra Jadeja took 5 wickets in this innings, while spending 66 runs.
Saurashtra then scored 271 runs in 72.2 overs in the first innings. For that, opener Harvik Desai scored the highest innings of 93 runs, while Ravindra Jadeja scored 38 runs and AV Vaswada scored 62 runs. Harsh Tyagi took 4 wickets for Delhi, while Ayush Badoni did wonders here too and took 3 wickets.
Delhi was expecting a big innings from its warriors in the second innings, but it did not happen. This time the entire team collapsed for just 94 runs. Once again Ayush Badoni played the highest innings of 44 runs and tried to handle the team, but did not get support at the other end. This time Ravindra Jadeja started bowling lethally from the beginning.
Jadeja also hunted Rishabh Pant, who was out after scoring 17 runs. Apart from Rishabh Pant and Ayush Badoni, Arpit Rana was the third batsman to touch double figures for the team in the form of 12 runs. In this innings, Ravindra Jadeja took 7 wickets for 38 runs, while 2 wickets were in the name of Dharmendra Singh Jadeja. One wicket was in the name of Yuvraj Singh Dodiya.
