Deputy Chief Minister awarded winners of jail sports competition and cultural presentations in Dewas

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in-charge of Dewas district, Jagdish Deora participated in the sports competition and cultural program organized on the theme of “Our Culture, Our Heritage” in the district jail and presented certificates and mementos to the winning male and female prisoners.

Minister in-charge Deora watched the Kabaddi game of male prisoners. In the Jail Sports Annual Competition, attractive and captivating cultural presentations were given by the prisoners on the theme of “Our Culture, Our Heritage”. Deputy Chief Minister Deora distributed a prize and certificate of Rs 11,000 to the District Jail Dewas team for their attractive and captivating cultural presentations.

Deputy Chief Minister Deora said that one should control anger in life, anger lasts for a moment, but repentance lasts for the whole life. Controlling anger is important. He said that whenever you get angry, leave that place. Whenever I come out of the jail after inspection in the jail, I get emotional. After talking to the prisoners, I come to know that the reason for their coming there is due to their actions done in anger. They later repent for their actions done in anger.

Deputy Chief Minister Deora said that positive and corrective work is being done in the jails of the state. Sports activities, discourses are organized in jails. He told the prisoners to atone for the mistakes they have committed in their lives and when their sentence is over, they should go back and move forward by doing good work with their family and society.

Deputy Chief Minister Deora said that many works were done by the state government from a corrective point of view. An open jail has been made by the state government. Work is being done to connect the prisoners with the main stream of the society. He told the prisoners to correct the mistakes they have committed in their life and go back from jail and live with society and family. By joining the mainstream of the society they become good citizens. The government has taken many good steps to integrate women prisoners into the mainstream. MLA Hatpipalya Manoj Chaudhary and jail officials were present.
