In today’s digital world, incidents of online fraud are increasing. Now it has become very important that you know how many SIM cards are linked to your Aadhar card. According to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), a person can register a maximum of nine mobile numbers in his name. At the time of obtaining a SIM card, valid proof of address and proof of identity is required. Aadhaar card fulfills both these requirements. However, it has been seen in the incidents of fraud that criminals steal a person’s Aadhaar number and make a fake SIM card. They misuse it for financial crimes.
TAF-COP: New platform to avoid fraud
