The cases of murder and attempt to murder are increasing year by year. Investigation of these incidents has revealed that in most of the cases, intoxication has been the main reason behind the crime. To control this, the police is taking strict action against those involved in illegal drug trade.

Assets earned from the drug trade are being confiscated. This may reduce criminal incidents. IG Dr. Sanjeev Shukla said these things. He presented the account of criminal incidents and achievements of the police throughout the year in Chetna Hall located at Police Lines.

During this, he told that there has been an increase in the cases of murder, attempt to murder and rape in the range as compared to last year. Investigation of these cases revealed that in most of the cases, the perpetrators of criminal incidents were drug addicts or were intoxicated at the time of committing the crime.

He said that strict action is being taken by the police to control the drug trade. The property earned from the drug trade is being confiscated. He also praised the action taken by Bilaspur Police in two cases. IG said that like last year, this time also more than 300 cases were registered and narcotics were seized in the range.

These are the four priorities
To stop crime, strict action will be taken against illegal drug trade. An awareness campaign will also be conducted. Cooperation of voluntary organizations will also be taken in this.
Cyber ​​criminals grab 10 times the property from theft cases. To stop this, it is necessary to complain on time. Many times, due to lack of information, we are not able to complain on time. Now there will be trained soldiers in every police station. This will provide immediate help to the victims.
Work will be done on improving engineering to reduce road accidents. Necessary improvement works will be done in coordination with the concerned work agency. An awareness campaign will also be conducted. In this, information about traffic rules will be given by going to schools and educational institutions as well as among the people.
Emphasis is being laid on community policing for coordination between police and public. People will be given information about their rights by going among the common people. Besides, there will be cyber fraud and other awareness programs through various events.

Describing the achievements of the year, IG Dr. Sanjeev Shukla said that the police team has given special emphasis on solving serious cases. The gang targeting jewelery shops remained active in different cities of the state. Due to this even the bullion traders were scared.

While investigating the case of theft in a jewelery shop located in Sipat, SP Rajnesh Singh formed a team under the leadership of ASP Anuj Kumar. ASP Anuj Kumar identified the thieves on the basis of the tattoo on the hand of a person standing in line at the railway station. After this the entire gang is now in police custody.
