Cab and auto parking charges have been reduced at other major stations of Delhi including New Delhi. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced this after meeting auto and cab drivers and porters at New Delhi railway stations. Now cab drivers will have to pay Rs 400 instead of Rs 1200 per month and auto drivers will have to pay only Rs 200 for parking instead of Rs 700. Also assured to solve the problem of porters.
Minister announces reduction in parking fees on the spot

The porters demanded construction of rest houses at every station, insurance and treatment facilities up to Rs 20 lakh for the family, education facilities for children and solving the problem of uniforms. The Railway Minister said, the station where more than 50 porters are, will get rest house.

Under the Ayushman scheme, they and their relatives will get treatment and children will get the facility to study in railway schools. The problem of uniform will be solved. He advised the porters to behave well with the passengers. Said, no such work should be done which would create wrong impression in the minds of the passengers about them and the Railways. Auto Rickshaw Association General Secretary Rajendra Soni and others were present on this occasion.
