Global Skill Park is the only world class institute in Asia: Entrepreneurship Development Minister (UP) Aggarwal

Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, youth are being trained in modern technology of skills under Skill India. Asia’s only world class Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skill Park was constructed with the cooperation of Singapore for training the youth. Here, advanced technology training is given as per global standards. To get information about innovations and advanced trades in the field of skill development and training, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Aggarwal met Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global with Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment (Independent Charge) Gautam Tetwal. Discussed with the officials of Skill Park. Skill Development and Employment Secretary Rajendran Raghuraj and officials gave detailed information about the functioning of GSP, courses, industry connect, admission process, post placement support and demand based skill training and innovations.

Minister Tetwal and Minister Aggarwal visited the entire institute including GSP’s world-class laboratories, class rooms, auditorium. The minister duo reached the class room and interacted with the students. Students shared their teaching methods and experiences. The minister duo inspired the students for continuous progress. Minister Aggarwal is receiving training in GSP, Uttar Pradesh. Met the students and got a group photo taken with everyone.

The ministerial duo emphasized that efforts will have to be strengthened to bring students to the Global Skill Park. He also stressed the need to train students within the stipulated time frame as per the demands of various sectors of the industry. Instructions were given to include regular follow-up and post-placement monitoring of the students along with their placement as one of the priorities of the institute.

UP Minister Aggarwal said that this institute is the only world-class center of its kind in Asia, which is giving a new direction to the lives of the youth by giving them skill training as per global standards. Minister Aggarwal said that students and faculty from Uttar Pradesh will be regularly sent to GSP for training. He also took information about the admission process and fees of GSP. UP Minister Aggarwal also visited ITI Govindpura. He also invited Minister Tetwal and GSP staff for the Kumbh to be held in Prayagraj in January.

Minister Tetwal said that this institute is a symbol of skill development of the youth as well as their empowerment and self-reliance. He thanked Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. He described it as a platform which is becoming a bridge between technical education and employment. Minister Tetwal said that it is due to this cooperation that on the same day when I went to Ayodhya, Skill Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh Agarwal also came. That’s why I requested Minister Aggarwal to visit GSP. He happily accepted my request and came here with his team.

M.P. And U.P. This meeting between the Skill Development Ministers of India is a new beginning of partnership in skill development between Central and North India. The Ministers of both the states agreed that together they will create new opportunities for the youth. With students feeling enthusiastic and hopeful for the future, the day emerged as an inspiring example in the field of skill development.

Secretary R. Raghuraj told that this institute is providing training in various advanced trades as per the demand of the industry. Besides, trainers from various industries also come here to take training in advanced trades. Many eminent industrial institutes are also working as partners of GSP.

In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Alok Kumar, Director of Directorate of Training and Employment Mrs. Neha Prakash, Additional Director of Directorate of Training and Employment Manpal Singh as well as Additional Secretary of Skill Development and Employment of Madhya Pradesh and DTESDE Project Director Girish were present. Sharma, MPSDP CEO, MPSSDEGB, CEO, SSR GSP and other senior officials were also present.
