The night temperature in hill station Pachmarhi remained at 8.2 degrees Celsius. The night temperature was less than 10 degrees Celsius in 11 cities including the capital.
According to meteorologists, due to change in the direction of the winds, partial clouds have started appearing at some places. Due to this, there may be a slight increase in the minimum temperature, but the cold weather is likely to remain intact. According to the information received from the Meteorological Center, at present a jet stream is present in the northwestern region of the country. After some weakening, Storm Fengal has become an area of deep depression in the Bay of Bengal. There are chances of it hitting around Puducherry. A western disturbance is forming in the form of a trough around Pakistan. The direction of the winds is northern and north-eastern.
