Due to the impact of cyclone ‘Fengal’, many districts of the state remained cloudy throughout the day on Sunday. Light rain occurred in many places including Raipur. Due to this, a decrease of two to three degrees Celsius was recorded in the day temperature. On the other hand, the minimum temperature has increased by four to five degrees.
Meteorologist HP Chandra said that although Cyclone Fengal formed in the South-West Bay of Bengal has weakened, a large amount of moisture continues to arrive in the state at low levels from the Bay of Bengal. Due to its effect, low and middle level clouds are present in most parts.
Cold descended on ‘Maidan’ to cool down the enthusiasm of rain
Due to the effect of Cyclone Fengal, there was drizzle in Raipur from afternoon till evening, due to which the temperature dropped. On the other hand, the minimum temperature has increased by two degrees. According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, similar weather may persist even today.
According to the data received from the department, the maximum temperature was recorded at 22.8 degrees on Sunday and the minimum temperature was 26.2 degrees on Saturday. Humidity in the air has also increased by 10 percent. On Monday, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 24 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 19 degrees.

Cyclone Fangal, which was hovering over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, has weakened into a deep depression, due to which there is a possibility of light rainfall and increase in minimum temperature by one to two degrees on Monday. There is also a possibility of fog and cloudy sky in Raipur in the morning.
The temperature will drop rapidly
According to the Meteorological Department, after December 4, the phase of reduction in moisture from the air will start, due to which the weather of the capital can change rapidly. Day temperature may increase due to strong sunlight. On the other hand, the minimum temperature is expected to reach around 12 degrees.
