In Girnar Hills Colony of Avadhpuri, thieves broke the locks of an abandoned house and made away with goods worth lakhs. The homeowner couple had gone to Malaysia three days ago to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
When the maid reached his house on Tuesday morning to clean, she found the lock broken. He informed the landlord about the theft, after which the landlord’s relatives lodged a complaint at Avadhpuri police station. Police are identifying the thieves on the basis of CCTV installed in and around the house.
According to the police, Utkarsh Chaurasia lives with his wife in Girnar Hills Colony. They had gone from Bhopal to Malaysia on 24 November to celebrate their wedding anniversary. During this time the house was empty and the maid was cleaning.
When she reached home around eight in the morning on Tuesday, she found the lock broken. On the information of the woman, Utkarsh told the matter to his mother-in-law Sandhya Chaurasia. On inspection of the house it was found that many jewelery and valuables were missing. At present the police is investigating the stolen goods.

Here, thieves raided the house of Ajay Singh Mewada in village Phanda of Khajuri Road area and stole jewelery worth Rs 5 lakh. According to the police, Ajay Singh is a farmer in Mewada. On Tuesday, he had gone to his farm, while his wife had gone to worship at a temple located some distance away from home. When she returned after about an hour, she found the lock of the house broken. Also, all the jewelery including gold necklace, chain and ring kept in the cupboard were found missing. Whose price is said to be around five lakh rupees.
