On the other hand, Congress is preparing for major changes in the organization after the defeat in the by-elections.
After registering a spectacular victory in the Raipur South Assembly by-election, BJP has now prepared to put its full strength in the civic and panchayat elections. The election process is about to start in the state BJP organization, under which booth committees will be formed in the first phase. After this, there will be election of Mandal and District Presidents, in which strategy will be made keeping in mind the caste equations.
Elections will be held in 405 divisions, efforts to persuade angry workers
Mandal presidents will be elected in 405 mandals of the state between December 1 and 15, while district presidents will be selected between December 15 and 30. Senior leaders associated with the organization said that in this process, not only the president but also the representatives will be elected. Special emphasis will be laid on reuniting the angry workers with the party and solving their problems.
There will be a focus on caste equations so that balance can be maintained between different communities and any kind of dissatisfaction can be avoided in the civic elections. BJP’s strategy is clear: it has to hoist the flag of victory in civic and panchayat elections also.
Record increase in membership campaign
BJP has claimed to add 53 lakh new members in its recent membership drive. Now preparations are on to complete the elections of booth committees by 30th November. Party leaders have intensified meetings with senior leaders so that election preparations can be finalized.
Congress is also preparing for change
After the defeat in Raipur South by-election, the stir in Congress has also intensified. The party is now going beyond the review and preparing for major changes. The list coming from Delhi is awaited, in which there are indications of organizational reshuffle. The defeat in the by-elections has forced Congress to rework its strategy at the grassroots level.
Direct contest between BJP and Congress
There will be a direct contest between the two parties in the civic and panchayat elections. While BJP is focusing on caste balance and organizational strength for victory, Congress is trying to change the strategy by learning from its defeat. The upcoming election results will decide which party the public trusts.
