In such a situation, South East Central Railway (SECR) is going to change the numbers of 124 trains. 124 trains will have their old numbers from the new year i.e. 1 January 2025, which were before the Corona period. Will be known back by the same numbers.
The numbers of 124 trains of South East Central Railway will change from January 1. Which includes 24 trains leaving and passing through Bilaspur. These trains were running as specials since the Corona period. For this reason the number was also changed.
But, now the situation has become normal. Therefore, Railways has decided to run these trains with the old numbers. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, Railways has released the list of those 124 trains a month in advance.
Trains leaving and passing through Bilaspur will run from this number.

22 coaches of goods train derail, 6 trains cancelled.
The engine and 22 coaches of the long haul goods train derailed on Tuesday at 11:11 am on the Bilaspur-Katni railway section. About seven coaches overturned and got damaged.
Due to this incident which happened between Khongsara-Bhanwartank station, the up and down lines were closed. Due to this, Railways canceled six trains. It was decided to run nine trains through the diverted route. These include major trains like Utkal Express, Udhampur and Sarnath Express. Apart from this, the wheels of three to four trains stopped midway. Due to this, passengers had to face problems.
When two goods trains are run by joining them, it is called long haul. Both the goods trains of 58-58 wagons arrived at Kalmitar and became long haul. One of these was loaded from Sardega in Sambalpur division and the other left from Korba.
The goods train was at high speed
22 wagons of the goods train going from Sardega to Punjab derailed between Khongsara and Bhanwartank. The speed of the goods train was fast. Hence with a jerk seven coaches overturned and the loaded coal scattered all around the track. After this incident, the driver and guard immediately informed the control.
After the control, as soon as the hooter sounded, the officers were shocked. He reached the station in a hurry. Here he got information about the incident taking place in Bhanwartank. Immediate relief train left from Bilaspur.
Staff from the engineering department and other departments reached the spot and the repair work started. First of all, the Railways is getting the derailed coach back on track.
OHE and railway track damaged
Apart from OHE, tracks have also been damaged due to the incident. Due to this the Railways has also suffered huge losses. However, the damage has not been assessed yet. First of all, efforts are being made to normalize the operation of trains by repairing the line.
