Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that the government is working with full commitment to realize the motto of “Yatra Naryastu Pujyante, Ramante Tatra Devata”. Referring to schemes like “Ladli Lakshmi Yojana,” “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao,” and “One Stop Centre,” he said that it is a sacred mission. Government efforts alone are not enough, it has to be made a mass movement. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla participated in the state level “Women Safety Dialogue” program under the “Hum Honge Kamyab” campaign at Kushabhau International Convention Center in Bhopal.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that the country is progressing at a fast pace under the glorious leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that we have to be alert to the challenges that come with development. To make development meaningful, it is important to unite and empower women and make the society safe. If we want to make the society drug-free and channelize the energy of the youth in the right direction and make the country a world leader, then we all will have to work together to make this mission successful.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that social, economic and political empowerment of women is necessary. This has been our proud tradition, everyone will have to make efforts to remove distortions. Referring to the famous poem of Dr. Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that “Summer is still there, only the hunter of sin runs away, time will write the crimes of those who are neutral.” She said that no one has the right to remain neutral in this struggle for women empowerment and social change. This is every person’s fight, and everyone’s participation is necessary.
Underlining the ill effects of drugs, Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that drugs are also a major cause of gender-based violence. Strict action is being taken against people involved in drug trade. Efforts will be intensified to free the society from this evil through drug de-addiction centres. He said that this effort will prove to be a milestone in promoting gender equality and respect for women in the society. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla appreciated the efforts of program co-organizer “Sky Social”.
People of the state will be made aware through “Hum Honge Kamyab” campaign from 25th November to 10th December.
“Hum Honge Kamyab” Fortnight is being organized from 25th November to 10th December. The aim of this campaign not only focuses on the safety of children and women, but also to lay the foundation of a new society by bringing about a change in the mindset of men. Awareness programs will be organized in various districts during the fortnight, with activities scheduled in coordination with various departments. Commissioner Women and Child Development Department Smt. Sufia Farooqui Wali, Founder of “Sky Social” Sushrishti Pragat and representatives of various organizations and departmental officers were present.
