Two employees of Best Price defrauded an Indore businessman of Rs. 5 lakh and sold the ordered goods to someone else.

Two employees of Best Price, a retail store based in Misrod, have defrauded an oil merchant from Indore of about Rs 5.5 lakh. The businessman had placed an order for 345 boxes of edible oil in the company. When the order was not received on time, the businessman questioned the company, after which investigation revealed that the two employees who were responsible for sending the goods had sold it to another businessman in Azad Market. After investigating the complaint, the police have registered a case of fraud against both of them. At present the accused have not been arrested.

Ordered two months ago

Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Sudhakar Sharma posted at Misrod police station said that Indore businessman Sachin Soni had ordered oil of Ruchi Star Company on September 19 from the Best Price retail store located in the area. For this he had also made an advance payment of Rs 4 lakh 80 thousand 721.

The goods did not arrive even after the stipulated time

After this, as per the order placed by the trader on September 22, 345 boxes of oil were dispatched at the best price. The goods should have reached the businessman in four-five days, but when it was not delivered by September 29, the businessman became worried. He first checked with retail stores. When he did not get any satisfactory answer from there, he complained about the matter to the police.

Case registered after investigation

During investigation, Misrod police found that Ashish Sharma and Shivam Chaturvedi, who were working in Best Price for two years, were given the task of delivering the goods to Indore. But instead of sending the goods to Indore, he delivered the goods to a trader in Azad Market in Bhopal itself. After investigation, the police have registered an FIR against both of them.
