To prevent road accidents in the state, the government will now teach traffic lessons to school students. It will start with the students of class five from the upcoming academic session (2025-26). For this, the Police Headquarters is getting 87 lakh books printed. A new book will be taught in a new class every year from fifth to 12th respectively.
how will the course be
The curriculum is also being prepared in such a way that there is no duplication in it. Also, their content should be suitable for the intellectual level of the students. The fifth book has eight chapters. In this, how to drive the vehicle on the road, in which direction, what is rotary. How many types of vehicles are there according to the criteria of pollution? Information like how many types of licenses are there has been included.
It is also necessary to change thinking strictly
Police Headquarters officials say that along with strictness, it is also necessary to change people’s thinking and there can be no better group than students to start this.
Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Sanjeev Shami said that the curriculum committee has approved it. Whether these will be included in the curriculum from the next academic session or not is yet to be decided. These books will be taught to students even if they are not a part of the curriculum.

Leaving aside the Corona transition period, the number of road accidents and people losing their lives is continuously increasing in the state. Despite strict action against those breaking traffic rules, incidents are increasing.
