Mahant of Bhairav Temple, Pandit Jageshwar Awasthi said that with the wish of world peace and public welfare, Rudra Mahayagya is being organized every year on the birth anniversary of Bhairav Baba Temple since 2005. This year also the Kalshayatra has started from Thursday. Kalshayatra started from Bhairav Temple and reached Dulhara Pond and after taking water via Khandoba Temple, reached Bhairav Temple, where worship was performed. Earlier this event used to last for five days. Then it started happening for seven days. Rudra Mahayagya is now being performed for nine days every three years and a large number of devotees are participating in the Yagya rituals. Like this every time during Rudra Mahayagya, Rudra Mahayagya and rituals are being performed by the Vedic scholars and Acharyas of Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
