Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary. He has congratulated the people of the state on Tribal Pride Day. Paying tribute to the immortal heroes and martyrs of the country, he said that with the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Tribal Pride Day’ is celebrated every year on 15th November on the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. He said that Lord Birsa Munda was a public leader. He made the tribal community aware about water, forest and land and inspired them to fight for their rights. The Chief Minister said that Birsa Munda ji opposed the policies of the then British Empire and worked throughout his life for the socio-economic progress of the tribals. His revolutionary ideas and spirit of patriotism still inspire us all.
Chief Minister Sai said that many welfare schemes are being run in Chhattisgarh for the upliftment of the tribal society. Taking inspiration from Lord Birsa Munda ji, we all have to make efforts together so that our state moves forward and continues to move forward on the path of development.
