Earlier in 2015, when a comprehensive campaign was run under the leadership of Amit Shah, BJP had claimed 18 crore members.
On this basis, BJP started calling itself the world’s largest political party. BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde said that the party re-gives membership to active members every 6 months. This process had stopped due to Corona. PM Narendra Modi and party president JP Nadda will launch this campaign on the evening of 2 September. At the same time, BJP runs a campaign every three years for new members. The concept of making members through missed call also came to SAM during Amit Shah’s tenure as president.
This time BJP would like to see how many members join it. BJP had given the slogan of crossing 400 this time in the Lok Sabha elections, but when the results came, it stopped at 240 only.
