Even after the victory of 240, how many people are with us, BJP will measure its strength through membership campaign

BJP is going to elect a new president by January 2025. Before this, the party is going to run a membership campaign, the first phase of which will start from September 2. Under this, people will get a chance to become members of BJP through missed call, WhatsApp and Namo App. Apart from this, membership can also be taken by scanning QR code. BJP often runs membership campaigns. But this time it is important because after winning 240 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, it would like to see how enthusiastic the people are to join it. Earlier in 2015, when a comprehensive campaign was run under the leadership of Amit Shah, BJP had claimed 18 crore members.

On this basis, BJP started calling itself the world’s largest political party. BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde said that the party re-gives membership to active members every 6 months. This process had stopped due to Corona. PM Narendra Modi and party president JP Nadda will launch this campaign on the evening of 2 September. At the same time, BJP runs a campaign every three years for new members. The concept of making members through missed call also came to SAM during Amit Shah’s tenure as president.

This time BJP would like to see how many members join it. BJP had given the slogan of crossing 400 this time in the Lok Sabha elections, but when the results came, it stopped at 240 only. In such a situation, it would also like to assess its strength that how many people are still willing to join it at the ground level. Apart from this, efforts will also be made to activate a large number of workers. It is believed that breaking the previous record will not be easy for the party. Apart from this, the party will also have to make efforts to increase the number of active members. Let us tell you that only active members in BJP can participate in the party’s organizational elections.

These workers get the opportunity to contest elections for posts ranging from Mandal President to higher posts. The first phase of the membership campaign will begin from September 25, while the second round will run from 1 to 15 October. During this campaign, the party would like to know the attitude of the people in areas like UP, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan. It would like to see whether the attitude of the people is warm towards it or whether people are indifferent to joining BJP.
