Actually, on the night of 14th August, a young man named Laxmi Narayan Sahu was seriously injured in a road accident. The car in which Laxmi was injured was being driven by a young man named Aslam. The injured young man died during treatment. After this, Hindu organizations were filled with anger. On the morning of 17th August, Hindu organizations started a protest in Hata.
Hindu organizations closed the shops in the market and started sloganeering. The protesters blocked the Hata Panna main road. Seeing the situation deteriorating, Damoh SP and other district officials reached the spot. Police from nearby police stations were also called to the spot. After this, the jam was cleared by convincing the people.
After the demonstration that lasted for about 6 hours, Hindu organizations gave a memorandum to the district administration demanding financial assistance of 10 lakhs to the family of the deceased and bulldozing of the house of the accused youth. For this, a 7-day ultimatum has been given to the administration. The family members of the deceased and Hindu organizations say that if action is not taken on the memorandum within 7 days, then a fierce agitation will be carried out.
At the same time, the district administration has said that appropriate action will be taken after investigation. SP Shrut Kirti Sombansh says that the entire matter is being investigated seriously. Action will be taken after that.
