The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the teams for the first round of Duleep Trophy 2024. Shubman Gill, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Rituraj Gaikwad and Shreyas Iyer will be seen captaining. Gill will captain Team A, Easwaran Team B, Gaikwad Team C and Iyer Team D. India’s domestic season will start with the Duleep Trophy, which is a red ball tournament. This time dozens of international players are going to play in this tournament, because in the coming time India has to play 10 Test matches. The tournament is starting from 5 September. Matches will be played at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh and M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In the middle of the start of this tournament, the team will be announced for the Test series against Bangladesh, the players who will be selected in the team will be kept out of the Duleep Trophy and some young players will be given a chance.
The four teams for the first round of the tournament are as follows:
Team A: Shubman Gill (captain), Mayank Agarwal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Tilak Verma, Shivam Dubey, Tanush Kotian, Kuldeep Yadav, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Khalil Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Vidawath Kavarappa, Kumar Kushagra and Shaswat Rawat.
Team B: Abhimanyu Easwaran (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Mushir Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy (subject to fitness), Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal, Mukesh Kumar, Rahul Chahar, R Sai Kishore, Mohit Awasthi and N Jagadeesan (wicketkeeper).
Team C: Ruturaj Gaikwad (captain), Sai Sudarshan, Rajat Patidar, Abhishek Porel (wicketkeeper), Suryakumar Yadav, B Indrajit, Hrithik Shokeen, Manav Suthar, Umran Malik, Vishak Vijaykumar, Anshul Khamboj, Himanshu Chauhan, Mayank Markande, Aryan Juyal (wicketkeeper) and Sandeep Warrior.
Team D: Shreyas Iyer (captain), Atharva Tayde, Yash Dubey, Devdutt Padikkal, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Ricky Bhui, Saransh Jain, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Aditya Thakare, Harshit Rana, Tushar Deshpande, Akash Sengupta, KS Bharat (wicketkeeper) and Saurabh Kumar.
