The US has agreed to send the guilty Tahwwur Hussain Rana to India of the Mumbai terror attack. After a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House, America Donold Trump said that I am happy to declare that the US administration has given the extradition of the 2008 Mumbai attack to the Judicial process in India Has approved to face Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin, Tehwwur Rana is currently closed at a metropolitan detention center in Los Angeles. It is believed that he is associated with Pakistani-American terrorist David Coleman Headley, one of the main conspirators of 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.
In a joint press conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a visit to America, President Donald Trump said, “Today I am happy to announce that my administration has given one of the world’s worst humans and conspirators of Mumbai terror attack One of them has been approved to extradite justice in India. Therefore, he is going back to India to face justice. ”
In January 2025, the US Supreme Court dismissed Rana’s review petition and approved his extradition. India had said last month that it is working with American officials for Rana’s early extradition. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal had said, “The Supreme Court of America refused to hear the petition of the accused on 21 January. We are now working with America on procedural issues to extradite India accused of Mumbai terror attack soon. ”
PM Modi thanked Trump
Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the decision of America and thanked President Trump. Modi said that one of the accused in the Mumbai attack is coming to India, where he will be prosecuted. I thank President Trump that he completed the process quickly. “
David Headley gave testimony against Rana
Pakistani -origin businessman Tawwur Hussain Rana was found guilty in 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Now Indian agencies will interrogate him here and he will be prosecuted. Rana was already aware of the Mumbai attack and was in touch with Pakistan terrorist organizations and his leaders. David Coleman Headley was also among the people involved in this conspiracy. Headley had confessed his crime and testified against Rana.
Tehwavur Rana used to have close relations with ISI
Rana is also accused of having close relations with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence). According to a charge sheet of more than 400 pages of Mumbai Police, Tawwur Hussain Rana came to India on 11 November 2008 and stayed here till 21 November. During this, he spent two days at the Renenson Hotel in Powai area of Mumbai.
So many people were killed in Mumbai attack
A group of 10 Pakistan terrorists attacked a railway station, two luxurious hotels and a Jewish center on 26 November 2008 after entering Mumbai via Arabian Sea. 166 people were killed in this attack, which was going on for about 60 hours, this attack shook the entire country and even became a war situation between India and Pakistan.
In November 2012, Ajmal Aamir Kasab, the only living terrorist of the Pakistan terrorist group, was hanged in Yerwada Jail in Pune. India is pressurizing Pakistan to punish the people involved in this brutal attack, but so far the action against the accused of the attack has not been able to proceed much further.
