The district administration has started preparations for the upcoming Panchayat elections. This time, District Panchayat elections will be held separately in Pendra-Gaurela-Marwahi (GPM) and Bilaspur. The number of seats in GPM district has been increased to 10, while voting will be held on 17 seats in Bilaspur. The District Panchayat has received guidelines for this. Officials are waiting for the list regarding reservation. After the reservation list comes, preparations for holding elections will start and the process will be taken forward.
This time separate elections will be held in GPM district and Bilaspur district. GPM’s five seats have been increased to 10 seats. Elections will be held on 17 seats of District Panchayat in Bilaspur.

Tender worth Rs 33 crore obtained through fake experience certificate, will be canceled
Under Jal Jeevan Mission, a tender worth Rs 33 crore for multi-village work in Hardi Bhatchaura has been obtained by presenting fake experience certificates. When the Public Health Engineering Department received a complaint in the matter, investigation was initiated and it was found that contractor Vijay Salunke had submitted fake certificates. The process of canceling the tender is going on in the matter.
Officials of the Public Health Engineering Department said that a complaint was received about the experience certificate issued by the urban body being fake. When the committee that scrutinized the experience certificate presented by contractor Vijay Salunke reached the concerned institute, it was confirmed that no such certificate had been issued. When the contractor was questioned about this, he could not give any satisfactory answer. After this, Assistant Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department, AP Vaidya said that in view of the seriousness of the matter, the process of initiating action and canceling the tender is going on.
